Blueprint Locations
- Drill Arm
- Drops from the Chemical Agent/Drill Charger (A hater named "YTYM@CHARGERS") who may be found between 11-20F.
May not always appear; Charger rotations change each Thursday.
- Drops from the Chemical Agent/Drill Charger (A hater named "YTYM@CHARGERS") who may be found between 11-20F.
Notes
- Very effective at destroying armor.
- The normal attack has very short range, forcing you into close combat until the secondary attack is unlocked.
- The normal attack behaves like the Buzzsaw; holding L2/R2 repeatedly damages anything that the Drill touches.
- If the Drill is spinning, enemies that attack you will take damage first.
- Even if an enemy is blocking, the normal attack does multiple hits and will tear away at armor and HP, but beware of overheating, which can leave you open to attack.
- The secondary attack is a quick, single-hit thrust, unlocked at Mastery Level 6.
- The secondary attack has deceptively good range, extremely high damage, a generous hitbox, and solid knockback, making it preferable to the normal attack for almost all situations.
- Due to its range, hitbox, and knockback, the secondary attack is safe to use and can often plow through enemy attacks for free counter damage. Combined with its already high damage, it can easily one-hit kill enemies of the same tier, and even do solid damage to enemies of higher tiers.
- At 1* to 5*, the secondary attack's durability cost is low compared to its damage output, allowing the Drill to last longer than most melee weapons.
- At 6*, the durability cost of the secondary attack is tripled, greatly diminishing the Drill's staying power for floors 41+.
- Prior to an update, the Meijin Tip originally read: "You got a Drill Weapon, huh? You basically attack by walking around with it on, but be careful or it'll overheat! If you up the Mastery Level you can use a piercing attack. That one's crazy! You can follow up with regular attacks afterwards."
