Material-Specific Floors

"Material-specific floors are the only way to obtain Tier 5 versions of Iron, Aluminum, Copper, Wood, Oil, and Fiber." [1] See: R&D Materials for more information.

Gyakufunsha, the hidden shop, is also another way to get Tier 5 Materials. See: Gyakufunsha for information about the costs of materials, and floors.

The Treasure Hunter skill decal is useful in acquiring Tier 5 Materials, as it allows you to see the locations of all materials, shop and enemies on the map.

Tips for Farming Tier 5 Materials

When farming these materials, it is important to know whether or not you can take a route to the hidden shop while collecting materials in the material-specific floors at the same time. Doing so allows you one guaranteed material each trip, and chances for extra tier 5 materials. Gyaku-Funsha restocks each hour, and you should stock up enough Kill Coins in preparation to buy the items. A grade 5 fighter has at least 22 Death Bag Slots, and assuming at least eight are used for preparation: Three for armor, three for food and two for weapons, it would leave only 14 slots for actually collecting materials. You may be left with even fewer slots if you need items found in the floors to survive. To alleviate this issue, either use a grade 5 collector for 42 Death Bag Slots, or decide whether you will only purchase from the shop, or check the material-only floors. Note that you may also lose Kill Coins during the floors because of raids, and may need to setup at least a decent defense.

Do not contest multiple pitching machines in plain sight. Use a mushroom, run diagonally away from them, and bait them around corners. Certain rage moves are useful for taking out multiple enemies.

You should also equip armor with at least 1000+ defense for floors 31-34, and around 1600+ defense for 35-39. This may ensure you aren't instantly killed by pitching machines, sabers and ranged weapon Haters. Note that the attack power on Haters vary, and some may be capable of instantly killing players if you are under 1600 defense. Saber haters are extremely dangerous, capable of killing low defense players with a combo and goretastic. Haters with ranged weapons should be baited around corners, and killed quickly when they approach. This prevents the guaranteed loss of health from contesting certain ranged weapons.

Know when to run, and when to fight.

Bringing a brainshroom allows you to instantly kill most Haters that would otherwise be capable of killing you.

Tips for Farming Tier 6 Materials

While you’re in the 40's lookout for any Tier 6 Materials that you come across upon and be picking them up so that you can upgrade higher tier weapons and armor that maybe be uncappable than ever before. Haters may spawn up there do keep in mind that some of them may have uncapped weapons and armor that you can use to get those materials. Probably need to equip your strongest gear for this one.

Be on a lookout for Forcemen gear if you see them kill them quickly.

Tips for Farming Tier 7 Materials

Tier 7 materials are very common when climbing in Tengoku you’ll need those to uncap your weapons and armor even further look for some them in the higher floors can also be found up there as well. Same thing applies to Haters that are the 40's previously they maybe in a different uncapped level. So don’t miss your chance to pick them up.

Tips for Farming Tier 8 Materials

Tier 8 Materials are very rare to come across upon when you reach 80+ in Tengoku that’s where the big boys will probably roll on in and those materials will be probably be needed to upgrade your weapons and armor even further. So whenever you see those bad boys pick them up immediately.
