Pillbug

An armored insect that can roll up into a ball to protect itself if attacked. If you crouch to grab one it will curl up. You have to stomp them once to render them unconscious and then they can be picked up or killed to get the mushroom.

Killing a Pillbug will produce a Lifeshroom.

Like most beasts, it has a rare golden variant, the Golden Pillbug.

Notes

• You will know a Pillbug is nearby when you hear a crackling sound, similar to a Crab. Pillbugs do not make an audible vocal noise.
• While a Grilled Pillbug will provide an (L) HP restore, it may prove to be more useful to kill them to get the Lifeshroom. This allows your Fighter to survive a fatal blow and save you from having to use a Death Metal or Kill Coins to revive or salvage them.
