Increase ATK by 10% after killing an enemy without taking damage, up to 100% increased damage. Taking damage resets this bonus.

Effect

With each kill, a yellow fisheye effect covers more of the screen, steadily increasing in intensity. Some people may adjust to this effect easier than others, and the effect cannot be disabled.

Using two Serial Killer causes each kill to grant a 20% ATK increase instead of 10%, but only up to the maximum cap of 100%. In other words, your stacks will cap after 5 kills instead of 10. Beasts killed will also grant Serial Killer stacks, but Beasts which ended up Grilled instead of killed will not count. Using elevators, escalators, eating Umbrella Rib Fungus or Cateye Shrooms, successfully parrying a hit, or having a hit nullified from an effect like Guardshrooms or Body Double will all retain your stacks. Returning to the Waiting Room will remove all stacks, and stacks cannot be gained in the Waiting Room. Stacks will not be retained when returning to the game after using a Solo Shelter, or from returning to the Tower after the game was closed for any reason.

Fighter

Serial Killer is a popular decal due to its high-risk, high-reward gameplay. This decal alone can often carry lesser-geared players much further than they were able to reach previously, and it is still often used as a key damage decal by stronger players. A fully stacked Serial Killer effectively doubles your ATK as long as you avoid damage. It can be more effective while using ranged weapons due to less inherent risk from getting closer to enemies. However, an attentive player can still make perfectly good use of the decal on melee builds. Players who have a good handle on the Jackals will often use this decal to defeat them faster.

However, the decal is still conditional, and being hit at all will remove all stacks completely. There may be situations where keeping or regaining max stacks is difficult. It is up to the player's discretion whether or not to include this decal in their build, and some may opt for more general damage decals so they won't have to change to Serial Killer's playstyle. That being said - the power of Serial Killer should not be understated, and any damage dealing build is nigh guaranteed to do substantially more damage if using it.

While technically possible to use while raiding in TDM, it can be hard to retain stacks against difficult bases under normal circumstances, often making it a dead decal. You can potentially get more mileage out of the effect by using Guardshrooms, quickly killing Tubers from any Alarms, and/or bringing Beasts to kill for easy stacks along with you.

Defense

Serial Killer will essentially be a dead decal on any non-player controlled Fighters. While it may be possible for them to kill something like Beasts or Tubers and gain a buff - it happening in a circumstance that would turn deadly is unrealistic.
